False negative pregnancy tests
Like all of us, when you choose to buy a certain product you expect it to be the best or simply to solve your problem, to satisfy your needs. So do the women who choose to buy e certain pregnancy test; they expect it to give them the most accurate result as early as possible. It’s understandable why they choose a pregnancy test to find out if they are pregnant or not – because there isn’t a better way; they can’t wait for a pregnancy sign to find out, firstly because it can be sometimes a false one, and then because it can show up too late.
As you probably know, there are two types of pregnancy tests: clinic tests and home ones, but most women prefer the home ones because of their lower price and because they offer them the possibility to find out if they’re pregnant or not in the privacy of their own homes. They choose these tests because of their features too(which are very important for them), but then the biggest question rises: Which of them to choose?. After so many decisions, it’s normal for women to expect the best result – the most accurate one; but, unfortunately, some surprises can appear and disappoint you – for example.. what if you confront with a false negative pregnancy test?
Fortunately most of those false negative pregnancy tests’ causes are known and they can be avoided. Firstly, such a result can appear if you are taking the test too early. As you probably know, those tests are working by detecting the hCG in a woman’s body , hormone which appears in her body only when she gets pregnant. This hormone is produced by the placenta only after the implantation of a fertilized egg in the uterine wall, and from biological causes, this implantation does not occur until 6 days after ovulation. So in those 6 days it’s almost impossible to find hCG in your body, even if you are pregnant, therefore if you take a pregnancy test at this moment, it will surely give you a negative result which can be a false one.
Other reasons for getting false negative pregnancy tests can be those regarding the way of taking the test. It’s very important to follow the test instructions exactly, because otherwise you can make some mistakes which can lead to a false result. The most frequent one is the moment you read the test result; if you don’t read it in the “reaction time” it is possible that the second line(which usually indicates a positive result) to evaporate so when you read the test you see a negative result which could actually be a false one.
You can also avoid a false negative pregnancy test by making sure that the test you take is a more sensitive one, because a test with a higher sensitivity level can detect a smaller amount of hCG and earlier than the others.
As you can see, false negative pregnancy tests can have many explanations, many possible causes which can be avoided. However, if you have already taken a pregnancy test and you discover you have made one of these mistakes – just take another test, making sure you follow its instructions exactly, or you could simply see a doctor.

I took a test in the morning and it came out positive. I didnt have much water to drink the night before so i know it wasn’t diluted pee. I took a test again the next day and it was negative. I also noticed that the first time i took the test and got a positive result the urine was the strongest. I have gotten 3 negative since the positive. the thing is i drink a lot of water during the day. to the point that when i pee it is almost clear from all the water. Since i got a positive would it be safe to say that the positive may be the most accurate?
