Looking at the option of Egg Donation

Egg Donation is an option for women who are not able to conceive but want to be able to experience pregnancy and give birth to their child. It involves taking eggs, called oocytes from healthy women usually between the ages of 21 and 30, fertilizing them in vitro in a lab using either the partner’s sperm or donor sperm, and then when fertilized, being inserted into the uterus of the recipient. There it needs to attach the lining of the uterus and a pregnancy will progress as normal. Egg donors are screened both medically and psychologically and are pain between $7000 to $20,000. To make an egg donation they are given hormone injections to create super-ovulation so that several eggs are released rather than the usual one a month.
