If you have been trying to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant there are some early signs you can look for to help tell whether conception has happened. By detecting it early you can better take care of yourself and the baby with any lifestyle and diet changes that you may need, as well as visiting your doctor. Signs can show as early as 5 days after fertilization so here are five of them!
The most common 5 early signs of pregnancy:
Missed Period – The most obvious and important sign that you may be pregnant. However a missed period does not automatically mean you are pregnant, just that you might be. There are other things that can cause a woman to miss her period such as hormone fluctuations, stress, medicines, and even a large diet change. If after being 10 days late for your period it still has not arrived it may be a good idea to have a pregnancy test.
Dizziness – Pregnant women can get dizzy spells and even faint. This happens as a result of the pressure the uterus puts on the whole body which leads to arteries in the legs being compressed. The blood pressure can then decline rapidly leaving a woman feeling dizzy or faint. It can happen suddenly but is a temporary symptom.
Heartburn – Some women experience bad heartburn early on in pregnancy and it can be pretty uncomfortable if it is something you have never suffered from before. Again it is the expanding uterus that puts pressure on the heart as well as the hCG levels rising which can have a negative affect on the digestive process. Stomach acids can result and the accumulation of these causes the heart burn.
Light spotting – The battle of the baby to lodge itself into the endometrial wall can lead to some bleeding or light spotting. It is not a menstrual cycle and the blood color is different. It can happen around the time of your next due period though so make sure you are not confusing spotting with a light period. The bleeding when spotting is much lighter, the color is more pink or brown. If that is the case visit the doctor.
Urinating often – After conception the uterus expands to make room for the baby. Therefore it is very common for pregnant women to feel the need to urinate more often.
Now with the most obvious 5 early signs of pregnancy outlined, you can easily make yourself an idea about whether you should be testing or not. Testing is simple and cheap, and you can find various info on the subject right here on this website.
